Decent village pub, but the first thing that strikes you as you approach is the retained Boddington's signage. Features a traditionally furnished and decorated interior that has been opened out slightly, but still leaving several distinct seating / dining areas. With all four handpumps in use, I found the regular Robinson's Unicorn supplemented by Boltmaker, Sidekick from Mobberley Brewhouse's Sidekick and Isobar IPA from Storm Brewing (£3.60).

Saturday 5pm June 2011 party of 17 Pre-booked. A very quaint village pub with a larger car park than room in the public house (or so it seemed). Menu was rather limited if you didn't like curries and wanted something more substantial than a snack but they do have fish, gammon, casserole, mixed grill etc. Prices are towards the higher range of the scale but the food is very well prepared and portions are very good. They did very well with the delivery of 17 meals at the same time and the service was jovial and courteous. Deserts had a reasonable choice and again the portions were fairly decent. Liquids were average prices but the real oddity were the outside toilets (you had to leave the pub although you did stay under cover). All things considered a very pleasant meal.
