Unassuming-looking pub on road junction, with an equally unassuming though pleasant interior. A large U-shaped bar ranges from a tidy dining area round to a more-homely side, with darts right at the back. Outside there is a fenced courtyard area to the rear. The landlord is enthusiastic about his beers, with a range of 4 local and national ales on offer. Food is proper home-cooked stuff in generous portions and very good indeed. Recommended, especially if eating.

this pub has just reopened with new owners. i went with my family today(sunday) and had the most delicious meal which was cooked to perfection. 8 of us dined and 8 plates were emptied even the childrens mini roast dinners were finished. i would highly recommend the black pudding starter.the main course was perfect and the desert was excellent.put together with a nice friendly atmosphere and a top pint of hand pumped ale aperfect sunday in a lovely country setting.i will be back for more.
