Strongers . left this review about The Springwood Park
The Springwood Park is a Beefeater adjacent to a Premier Inn, so it acts as its restaurant. I was staying in the hotel, but the Premier Inn breakfast is a rip-off, so I only used the pub for a quick drink to quench my thirst before setting off on my adventure around the north of Macclesfield. I decided to have a small coke after being confronted by standard and premium keg alongside Doom Bar and an unused hand pump on the L-shaped serving counter that faces the entrance. I was charged £3.35 for a half, which is an absolute piss-take. It wasn’t one of those two-third pint Coke glasses; it was a half in a slender half pint glass with lots of ice. With prices like that it’s no wonder it was empty, which isn’t great for a food led pub on a Sunday afternoon. The food, when there are customers, is mainly consumed in the large right-hand side of the pub, and to the left is a bar-like area with some exposed brick pillars in amongst a mix of high tables and banquette seating. There was some muzak playing in the background which did little to lift my mood after being ripped off by the smiling barman. I’ll not be visiting here again.
