The Flower Pot is a large roadhouse pub with a large car park to the front and right and covered seating down the left. At the front entrance is a patio area with more seating. The bar counter along the rear wall faces the entrance where there are some high tables next to a fireplace in the left wall. Further left is more seating and a pool table. The larger right-hand side of the pub is used for dining, a ‘wait to be seated’ sign sits at the entrance to this area. This is a Robinson’s pub so the four hand pumps in amongst the standard and premium keg were drawing Dizzy Blonde, Unicorn and Cumbria Way alongside Big Sur West Coast IPA. This service was polite, but this place is a bit too food led for my liking.

Pub that had been known for its very popular Sunday carvery. Has recently had a massive refurbishment over lockdown. Very large covered outdoor area. Service/food has gone downhill since re-opening but beer remains good.

A very good example of a large 1920's or 30's roadhouse in 'brewer's tudor' retaining some good original features including a couple of impressive fireplaces. Also retains traditional layout of a large saloon and lounge to the right, with a smaller public bar to the left. Beers from Robinson's, with only Unicorn on handpump at time of visit, but very drinkable. Could be exceptional with a little effort, however could just as easily be lost. Visit while you can.
