A fine stone building in large blocks,it's been converted from a warehouse for the former cargo on the nearby Trent & Mersey.The external sign says " Gastro Pub" but its fine for just drinking.There is a huge outside area with pic nic benches,while inside there is a mezzanine level with dining type tables,around the bar traditional pub furniture.The full height central window brings in a lot of natural light,but the far corners of the interior are a bit gloomy.
There were 4 handpumps,with three options on my visit of GK Abbot,Marston's Pedigree and Thornbridge Kipling ,so nothing to get over excited about.
