very traditional locals pub up a steep hill from town. Beautifully presented inside with a few different rooms, a huge fireplace and darts board (they have a team in the local league). Tranquil early on an afternoon with just a single other customer and no noise pollution of any description. The silence could be a bit unnerving for some. Like the Golden Lion, only keg available.

Great little Traditional Pub.A bit off the beaten track but well worth the trip. Samuel Smiths Beers with OBB, Stout and Mild aswell as Lager and Cider. Great views over the Cheshire Country Side. Real fires and great friendly staff. With no Music or TV there is always good conversation and banter with the locals and the staff alike. Dominoes on a Monday, Quiz on a Tuesday, Darts on a Thursday and a Chees or Pie Club run by the locals most Saturdays just bring along some pie or cheeseto be included, alwyas a good night, not too busy but always good.
