Strongers . left this review about The Drunken Duck
The Drunken Duck has seating at the front that leads rearwards to a bar area with a serving counter up the right where premium keg was available, although many of the taps were off. Beyond the bar steps descend to more seating in the form of green banquettes and high tables before more steps down to additional banquettes and a pool table. Televisions are located throughout, but the pub was quiet due to only having Sky Sports while Newcastle were playing Champions League football on TNT. So, the televisions were muted and the dance music was cranked up. This is a weekend pub so it’s of little interest to me, but I would like to give a big shout out to the barman who had his head shoved so far up his own arse that he was figuratively wearing his torso as a hat.

Quite a narrow interior that widens as it drops down various levels towards an outdoor seating area at the rear. Keg only.

This pub is now called the Drunken Duck. It was one of few open beyond 11pm on Saturday evening. A couple of bouncers on the door allowed me in without a reservation and directed me to a seat.
Unfortunately, they don't currently have any real ales or cider, having previously been known for its cider. Instead, the keg selection was Guinness, Orchard Thieves, Amstel, Birra Moretti, Fosters, Camden Pale & Helles, John Smith's & Rekorderlig.
The bar is on a slightly lower level than the entrance. There are further areas beyond the bar, which I couldn't venture to. But the pub was certainly quite busy with a typical late night younger crowd. Not really my kind of pub. But at least it was open and the atmosphere is lively.
