A return visit - couldn't believe that the place was open at 1pm on a Monday afternoon. In a phrase that will bring joy to the hearts of pub tickers everywhere, the barman said "You have to keep consistent hours".
Completely unchanged (for centuries). Four cask on - Keswick gold and a couple of Hobgoblins. Roaring log burner. They do food and teas/coffees.
Apparently you cannot predict customers but it can be busy at the most unexpected times.

Remote Pub. Cheapest pint on the Inn Way to the Lake District at £3.
A couple of LocALEs, I went for Elder Gold. Another previously undiscovered ale.
Exactly what you would expect from an isolated Lake Land pub - completely unspoilt.
