I stay at this hotel when I'm in Kendal and whilst it's a hotel bar it still has some regulars who call in. The two real ales, usually from local breweries have always been very good and the service is cheerful and chatty. Not the cheapest pint in Kendal either but it's a good bar for a last one/two whilst staying here. Most hotel bars only sell overpriced fizz, so top marks to the Riverside for trying. Keep it up guys.
