Another pub I called in as I were passing, friendly staff and customers, well worth calling in. I would be comfortable with this as my local if I lived nearby.

Excellent hostelry, now a free house run by Wetheral folk. Good beer, good atmosphere, new rapidly-developing food menu. Busy Quiz Nights on Tuesdays, plenty of other good one-off events. Check the Facebook page
