Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Scotsman's Pack
Upmarket dining pub with accommodation on the outskirts of the village, near St Michael's Church. The bar can be found in the centre, with a dining area at each end and a separate lounge at the back; with all parts refurbished in a smart semi-traditional style. I found four of the five handpumps in use, offering Pedigree, 61 Deep and both varieties of Wainwright: Golden and Ruby (£4.60).

We'd booked a table, as encouraged under the Covid-19 precautions, but in fact, with it being a lovely sunny day and most people choosing to get frazzled, we has our pick of a dozen or more tables inside the pub, which as well as being almost empty was well ventilated. The main bar room extends most of the length of the pub, with some nice wood panelling (which looks quite old), and an unused smaller room behind. There were four real ales on the bar, all from the Marstons stable: Saddle Tank and Pedigree (both of which we found to be in good condition), plus Wainwright and Hobgoblin Gold. We also had some burgers, which were well presented but, at the end of the day, were just burgers (with salad and chips), and is £14 really what we are paying for this sort of thing in pubs? The beers were around £3.70 to £4, service was friendly and welcoming, and I'm sure we'd be happy to call again.
(The pub sign, which I expected to show an itinerant Scotsman with a pack of goods for sale, possibly carried by his pack horse, instead shows a pack of four Scotsmen in traditional garb, apparently threatening the play the bagpipes if you don't hurry up and pay them not to.)

Large pub, set mainly for dining, on the edge of the village.
Marstons Pedigree was in fine condition.
