Ordinary looking stone-built roadhouse with unexpected interior of charm and interest. A collection of Beryl Cook prints in one room is balanced by some superb old racing prints and a van Gogh drawing in another. Most of the space is taken up by quality dining furniture, but there are some high chairs by the bar and the most eccentric green velvet armchair by the fire - it must be at least 6 feet tall.
Two real ales are available, both from Tatton brewery in Cheshire. The only false notes are produced by some obviously plastic beams and the usual piped music. The garden has views across the valley to Lantern Pike.

The Waltzing Weasle is s stone built pub that is in an elevated position away from the middle of Birch Vale.
Once inside i was quite surprisd to see how nice this pub was, there were a couple of rooms and i had a drink in the main bar area this room was carpeted and and had a comfortable seating.
There were three real ales on the bar and i had a drink of Skipton Black Gold and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Batemans XXXB and Marstons bitter.
I was quite happy having a drink in this pub.
