This is a smart pub which seems to major on food. The central door opens onto a room to the left with the bar counter and another to the right. There's no real ale but plenty of customers tucking into the food. A TV was showing old Bruce Forsyth shows, which should have been my cue to turn around and walk out, but I thought I might as well have a beer. My half of Guinness was tooth-rattlingly cold and my most expensive beer of the day. It could have been worse - I might have chosen to sit in the beer garden and watch the traffic go by.
