Still as described by JAQPTIO below, this is a lively high street pub with accommodation, a restaurant and a friendly cadre of locals. The outside seating is wooden benches and tables, too cold and wet to enjoy this visit as the marquee was no longer in place. Inside, there is a dartboard at one end of the long conjoined bar, plus two large TV screens, one at the far end and one on the side above the repro Victorian fireplace. Three handpumps were dispensing Greene King Fireside and Original Bitter plus a guest, Tribute. The keg range included Devon Mist, Guinness, Estrella and Prior Life, plus a couple I didn't note.

Side-street Greene King pub with a range of seating areas both inside and out. The traditional bar is at the front, set behind a narrow terrace, with a second one (now called a café lounge) at the back, and a much larger patio beer garden (partly under a marquee) to the left-hand side. Three cask ales available from the five handpumps: IPA and the seasonal Blood Hound collaboration with Nethergate (£4.80), together with Tribute as a guest.

Independent small hotel just off town centre, with a good pub-like bar running along the Queen Street side and the hotel parts behind. Quite pleasant, and beer well kept (Cask Marque listed); seems to be Otter plus guests.
