The Unicorn is a roadside pub outside Billinge centre and as Mr Jackson points out is more of a food place,with all the tables I noticed were set up for the diner.There was no real ale here and the pub was empty on my Friday lunchtime visit but found the place well furnished and had a polite and well dressed Landlord.

Tried this when passing through. Seems to have changed into a food place as beers were all lager, no cider on tap. We ordered from grumpy looking girl who had walked past us 5 times, only to be told 10 minutes later they didnt have what we ordered. So we went for lasagne which turned up an hour later, during this time we had finished our drinks 30 minutes before and hostess had walked past a dozen times without offering any information or further drinks. Food was pitiful, a sliver of lasagne and less chips than you get in a regular mcdonalds portion. Never again.

A very good pub with a large main room and has a side room ales are always on form.
