Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Charter
Standard new-build Table Table pub / restaurant (unusually not adjacent to a Premier Inn), with the usual mix of seating / dining areas with semi-modern furniture and offensively inoffensive decor. It does, however, also have a pool table and a patio beer garden. A brace of handpumps can be found on the counter, with Doom Bar (£3.95) available from one and a reversed London Pride clip on the other.

A new build pub in a retail park development and part of the Table Table chain. The interior really isn't that bad, there are various sections with an interesting dark red banquette close to the front door,a section to the left with a flatscreen, wood burner and gaming machines ,high tables around the entrance and a wait to be seated area to the right after the bar winding around the far end of the premises. The different sections are divided by display shelves and you never get the sense of a drinking barn,it's a lot more discrete. .The bar itself is small and sports two handpumps with Doom Bar and London Pride (£2.80,a little too fruity) on my trip. The menu is at the super value end of the scale with children eat free during the schoolweek until 6pm,an Mums eat free on Sunday's after 2pm.Very few mains priced over £7 ,but I was pleasantly surprised how good my jacket with chilli (plus fresh salad) was for £5.Outside there are wooden benches for topping up your fake tan.
It's a chain and the muzak is mindless but overall it's more bearable than many other family feeding stations.
