I visited Yates on Thursday evening a couple of weeks ago when it was a quarter full with youngsters listening to karaoke that was interspersed amongst some dance music. The bar is located to the right and I was surprised to see two hand pumps that were clipped with Landlord and Bombardier badges, although the latter was off. I found the service to be friendly and polite and there is a late license until 2am at the weekends. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is also open until late during the week. The food is dirt cheap, but expect microwaved pub co dishes. There are plasma screens throughout and I am led to believe that Sky Sports is shown here.
I thought that this place was too loud, too dark and too fluorescent. The attitude of some of the young customers left a lot to be desired and there are far better places to drink in Weymouth so I’ll not be returning whilst it is in its present guise.

Bland establishment with no character or atmosphere. Staff extremely indifferent, beers very average, food below average. Cross the road to 'spoons for better value for money or any of the many, many better Weymouth pubs in close proximity.
