Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The George Inn

Quite an imposing 17th-century coaching inn, set perpendicular to the road so less obvious if driving from the south. The main entrance is located up some steps but disabled access can be obtained through the pleasant patio beer garden at the back. Thoroughly refurbished inside, but the bar and front dining area still retain some character, as does the small rear room. Two Harvey's beers - IPA and the ubiquitous Sussex - Cellar Head's Session Pale Ale and Tostig from Battle (£4.90) available from the four handpumps on this visit. Boards indicate that various local wines and gins are also sold.

The George Inn is a large 18th century coaching inn found on Robertsbridge High Street. The steps that ascend to the front entrance are flanked by a couple of picnic tables that face a small car park. This isn’t the biggest space for parking, but there is no charge to stop on the High Street. At the rear of the pub is a walled beer garden that offers step free access to the pub.
Inside the pub on the right wall is a small L shaped bar next to an inglenook that faces a couple of tables. Sitting on stools around the bar were some locals, but most people were enjoying the sun in the rear garden where all the tables were being used. To the left of the entrance is seating that looked more geared towards diners than drinkers. At the rear of the pub is a snug and a flight of stairs that lead up to four en suite bedrooms. There is no television, but there was some very low background music playing.
Available from the bar during my recent Saturday afternoon visit was a standard keg selection alongside Harveys Best and Iron Pier Mandarin and Amarillo. Traditional pub food is available, the cheeseburger is £11 + £2 for chips. This pub opens at midday and closes at 23:00 but is closed all day on Mondays and early at 20:00 on Sundays. The food is available from midday until 21:00 (21:00 on Sundays), although there is a reduced menu of sandwiches and baguettes from 14:30 until 18:30 Tuesday to Saturday. This is a pleasant dog friendly country pub that is worth a visit if in the area.
