Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Telscombe Tavern
Not a bad pub on the A259 coast road (which can't quite seem to make up its mind whether it's just called The Tavern), with a split-level interior featuring various (mostly fairly small) seating / dining areas. Unremarkable in terms of furniture and decor, but quite a good atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon. Also has a patio area at street level (with the main entrance being located down a few steps). You could have safely put your money on Harvey's being available, and the other three handpumps were dispensing Ringwood Razor Back, Dark Star Hophead (£3.60) and Aspall's Cyderkyn.

Strongers . left this review about The Tavern at Telscombe Cliffs
The Tavern at Telscombe Cliffs has recently been refurbished and had its name changed from the Telscombe Tavern. There is a car park at the rear and beyond this is a fenced in picnic area full of tables with lovely views of the sea and cliffs. It was a bit windy when I visited on Wednesday Afternoon, but I imagine it being fantastic during the summer months. It opens at midday everyday and has a two hour extension until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays and is open for an extra half an hour until 23:00 on Sundays. Food is served until 21:00 everyday and children are welcome until this time, but after only over 15s are allowed in the pub, which is fair enough. To be honest I did visit here with the intension of having some lunch, but I wasn’t very impressed with the menu and I thought that they were charging London prices for basic food so I decided to eat elsewhere. The drinks were also expensive with a pint of Guinness and a coke costing £5.30. In amongst the standard draught products available from the bar are Amstel and three hand pumps that were drawing Black Sheep and Harveys Best with one being unused. The bar is located at the entrance and there is a raised seating section to the left and some more seating to the right where there are some books available to read and a small fire is in situ. There are regular cabaret nights where I suppose the late license comes in handy and I thought the background music to be a bit loud for lunchtime.
The Guinness was spot on, but to be honest I thought this place to be very bland and overpriced and I would hesitate to visit again. Maybe the draw of the outside seating would change my mind on a nice day, who knows!
