Four hand pumps providing Plateau from Burning Sky, a flavoured cider called Unless You Think from Ascension, the Best Bitter from Three Acre Brewery and the Summer Pale from the Kernel. Keg options were Fluff IPA from Beak, Quench NZ Pale from Burning Sky, the London Nitro stout from the Kernel, Pilot cider from Ascension, Luppuletto Pilsner from Burning Sky, the Numb Angel Helles from Gun Brewery and the Super Pale from Abyss. Plenty of local breweries exhibiting their wares here.

Recently reopened village pub near the railway station in Glynde. Decent amount of outside seating with traditional picnic benches on grass! The main bar is to the right of the entrance, and the counter is traditional wood construction, and the room is pleasant light wise with an old, boarded floor. Mish mash of traditional furniture and a nice drinking ledge opposite the bar counter with stools to admire the road outside. Between the entrance and the bar is a nice room with a log burner and access to the bar counter in the right-hand corner. Seating here via a few larger tables. To the left of the entrance is a larger room with a mixture of boards and herringbone patterned flooring and a mixture of regular tables laid for diners, another log burner perched on one of the walls. The larger rear car park provided access to the pub up a rather steep flight of wooden steps! This is a really great re-opening and the small hamlet of Glynde is very lucky to have such a decent pub again.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Trevor Arms

Closed for eight years, and I was far from convinced that this pub would ever reopen, but thankfully this happened in July 2025. Unusual shape, wide at the front but tall and thin if viewed from the side. The interior comprises three rooms in a row along the original flint / ashlar faced building, with semi-traditional seating and dining areas of differing sizes. The plainer bar is in a newer single-storey extension on the right-hand side. Four handpumps on the counter, I found Three Acre Best Bitter, Burning Sky's Plateau and the Summer Pale with Galaxy hops from The Kernel (£5.50) being served. The other handle had an Ascension cider clip when I arrived but this was in the process of being charged over to something else. With (what I took to be) family members and/or friends hard at work in the garden, this is still slightly a work in progress, but I hope that the new owners do well.

Very recently changed hands and refurbished. No longer belongs to Harvey's but is a free house with its eye on becoming a destination real-ale pub. It has now been stripped bare compared to the photo above and now comprises a smallish lounge to one side and a large, fairly basic bar to the other. The large garden remains much as ever. Over the Easter weekend they've had a mini-real ale festival going on , and live music most days. Beers seem ever changing, with Harvey's Best the permanent fixture, and it was in good nick too. Its role as a railway hotel disappeared years ago, and Glynde is no longer the sort of place to support a village local. The new incarnation may be just the thing and, with an hourly train even on a Sunday it could make an excellent target for a cheap day return.
