Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Star

Very attractive village pub, with the expected partly opened-out, multi-room interior featuring a variety of different seating and dining areas around what is now an island bar. Most traditional around the main counter, with other parts lighter, fancier or more modern in appearance. Large rear beer garden. As mandatory in these parts, the two active handpumps from a bank of four carry Harvey's and Gun Brewery's Scaramanga extra pale (£4.60, but rather disappointing).

I wasn't expecting much from the village pub in the small village of Waldron, but was pleasantly surprised. It is located right in the centre next to the village's war memorial, which appear to be where all roads meet. There is a small car park to the side with a garden beyond that. With the car park being completely full, street parking was the next available option.

Most people were out drinking to the front of the pub when we arrived. We chose to sit inside and were soon followed by quite a few others. The central bar has seating all around, with most tables reserved for diners later in the evening, which probably explained the number of people outside. But bar staff invited us to take one of the "reserved" tables.

Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter is the regular beer. Gun Scaramaga was the guest.
