Unexpected Good Beer Guide Tick in the sketchier part of town. Smell of jazz cigarettes all the way from the station, where I felt best to keep moving. Even in daylight.
The pub is a street corner on a row of terraces. A single roomer, which has had a recent redecoration. One old boy and a very chatty, inquizitive landlandy. Good conversation for the 45 mins I was there. Mainly about a scratch card prize draw thing she gave me (sponsored by Belhaven) where the nearest place to collect my prize was Biggar.
One cask - a Dartmoor Legend - which was fair. Nothing to really suggest why it had made the guide but this is why we love the mystery of pub exploring.

The Duchy of Cornwall is a small pub with an L-shaped bar in the left rear corner that supports standard keg alongside Madri and a single hand pump that was drawing Dartmoor Brewery’s Jail Ale. Faced by the bar is a dartboard in the right rear where a league match was being played. The quality was poor, but the enthusiasm was great. A television on the rear wall was showing action from the darts match, another in the front was showing muted live football whilst come background music played. In the front left a pool table had been pushed onto the oche of a second dartboard and in the front right by the entrance is some seating. I’m a tungsten lobbing enthusiast so I quote liked the atmosphere in here so would pop back in if passing.
