Building is C17th... says so in the 2017 Good Beer Guide :-)
In the Good Beer Guide 2017. The range of beers has diminished since these reviews and there were just a couple on - not that this is a problem.
The Stroud Brewery Tom Long was in excellent condition.
Soft drinks patrons server less well, with diet coke from a bottle under the bar with no ice available.
We came for lunch, after a long walk and the only things on the chalk board on offer were very hearty full meals. 29 Degrees - who wants Liver Bacon and Mash at a lunchtime. Could do with a sandwich menu.

This is a lovely old pub set back in the tiny village of Cranham, and therefore very hard to see.
I would say its a Victorian building with a quaint, old fashioned 'pubby' interior. As it was a very hot day we sat outside, so I really didn't explore the inside to any great degree.
The staff were very friendly.
There were a couple of ciders on tap. Alewise there was an ale called Mariner, which came from nearby Gloucester, the ubiquitous Doom Bar, and an Otter ale. The Mariner was delicious.
The pub also sells pub food - we ate sandwiches which were very nice.
The board which lists opening times said that it opens from 12 - 2 in the afternoon. However, as we were leaving at 2:05, there were still customers being served, so this may only relate to the food.
All in all, a very lovely pub and one I would go back to.
