It is fair to say, that when the Five Alls closed it's doors a few months ago, it was in need of some T.L.C. The new owners have begun this process by undertaking a fabulous refurbishment, the result is a complete transformation. Gone is the dreary dark grey colour, in it's place is a soft blue/light grey two tone colour with delicate lettering painted onto the surface, which looks quite elegant.
This is only the beginning of the changes, a new entrance has been created to the side of the pub, the inner door of this entrance is constructed of distressed wood in a warm inviting shade. The internal fixtures and fittings are a feast for the eyes, it certainly looks colourful.
When my partner and I arrived, the place was fairly busy, we found a table by the entrance. We ordered Ringwood Razor Back which was fine, and a not very pleasant cider for myself. To be honest, we didn't stay long because it isn't our kind of place really. They certainly seem to have gone up market, since our last visit.

A pretty basic L shaped interior. 2 real ale taps both off.

A smallish L-shaper on a corner plot now painted a dark grey and despite a recent lick of paint, still a little rough around the edges. An L-shaped bar faces the front entrance surrounded by scuffed parquet flooring and metal chair-style stools. Limited seating by each window, with an area to the left of the bar cleared for the evening's live music and an area that wraps around the right of a bar slightly cosier with a painted-over brick fireplace a focal point. Colourful locals, but not overbearingly so and it was quite amusing listening to them singing along to their choices on the jukebox. A single ale - Butcombe Bitter by way of a chalked slate square on a single handpump. The joy of this crazy old game of pub-ticking is never judging a book by its cover and the Butcombe (£1.80 a half) was in great shape. The Norwood and Sup & Chow are better pubs but I perversely enjoyed this one.
