According to local media, the Craven Arms is due to close at the end of October, until further notice. Rising costs are one of the reasons for this decision.

A very nice pub, in a picturesque part of the Cotswolds. Recommended.

IAlthough the food was good (little over priced) all of our groups were disillusioned by the managerial staff. Rude and abrupt, they made us feel very unwelcome, which lent to a generally unpleasant experience, especially considering we were paying “premium†rates (definitely over priced) to stay in their adequately furnished B & B rooms. We can safely say that we will not be returning, and would like to warn others that although the food was good the management’s attitude towards “outsiders†makes the Craven arms experience one that should be avoided. There are plenty of other lovely Cotswold pubs in the area and we encourage you to go else where.
