The Hare & Hounds closed September 2019 when the lease expired. Agreement on a new lease failed. Marked as permanently closed by High Peak Camra, but on Fleurets site as up for lease without tie.

The Hare and Hounds is an oldish pub that is well away from the middle of Marple in almost open countryside.
Once inside there was a large dining area which had a conservatory added to it,the bar was in the older part of the pub and this was quite a nice room with a beamed ceiling and comfortable seating.
This pub is an Hydes tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Hydes bitter nad this was a nice drink the other beer was a Hydes seasonal beer.
This pub is mainly used by diners but as a drinker i was made just as welcome.
