Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Beehive

Community pub doing great business on a Thursday night when most of the city centre was much quieter. The interior has been substantially altered over the years and given a rather unsympathetic refurbishment, but the people make the difference here. Also has the expected pool table, sports TVs and pub quiz nights every week. With four of the five handpumps in use, I found Greene King IPA, a 'house' beer (probably from the same brewery) and a pair from Kirkby Lonsdale: Tiffin Gold (£3.60) and Monumental.

Typical estate "sports pub". Loads of TVs. Standard pub furniture. Horse racing in afternoon. Champions league in evening.

Surprisingly (from the pub identikit feel) its a Good Beer Guide 2021 entry and no complaints about my Kirkby Lonsdale Tiffin Gold.

Clean and functional but nothing to make it stand out, or dare I say, make it worth the walk from town. Unless you are going to the football, where it is perfectly positioned.

Deceptively large John Barras pub that is a good walk from Carlisle centre.The interior is very similar to any Chef and Brewer, Harvester or any other comparable chains with dark wood and stained glass here and there.They had 3 handpumps one was a cider one Golden Sheep and the other one had an hand written note stuck to it saying "Settling".
