Strongers . left this review about Pier Eight
Pier Eight is an island bar surrounded by seating on the ground floor of the Lowry. Carlsberg, San Miguel, Guinness and a cider are available from two banks of four keg fonts, and the two hand pumps were unused. Has the ambience of an office block works canteen.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Pier Eight
Modern bar, part of The Lowry complex but open to all, with some good views across the Manchester Ship canal. I was bit unlucky as the real ale had just run out when I visited, with the Hydes Lowry being the regular and guests such as Lees MPA usually being available. However, the bottled version of the house beer was available from the fridge so all was not lost.

This is just a large space in the Lowry Theatre. Full of metal legged chairs and tables it looks really cheap. It isn't, the prices are high. No real ale and only two other people in the place on my Friday afternoon visit, so I decided to leave it. Good views across the quays in Summer though if using the outside terrace.
