Standing looking very sad and lonely in an urban waste land, a Victorian range of shops across the road, a church on the other side and a couple of detached 19th century buildings in front across a desolate space, one an undertaker’s in a poetic juxtaposition, a monstrous bingo hall for company next door. Not open Monday or Tuesday when I was in Oldham.
