When i visited this pub it was called the Birch Villa, this was a largish victorian pub that still had its old Hardy's signs running across the top of the pub.
Once inside there were a couple of rooms and i had a drink in a smartish lounge which was quite comfy, this pub used to be a Bass tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Worthington bitter which was on handpump and this was a fairly decent drink the other beer was Bass.
This was a decent enough pub to have a drink in.
