Gorse Hill is a large L-shaped pub with a long L-shaped central bar counter that supports standard and premium keg alongside Birra Moretti and Amstel. There’s seating across the front of the pub and up the left and right hand sides, but being a stone’s throw from Manchester United the majority of space standing room for match days. In the left rear are a pool table and a dartboard. During a recent midweek evening visit there was a rowdy mobile phone app quiz in progress that was attended by 20 or so locals. I think this place would sit firmly in the ‘community pub’ bracket. The service was polite, but a return visit isn’t on the cards.
