Strongers . left this review about The Metropolitan

The Metropolitan is a massive pub with the Barker Room to the left of the entrance and open plan seating to the right. A U-shaped bar comes out of the left-hand wall facing the front, seating to the right and towards a grand high vaulted ceiling area at the rear. in the left rear is a large dining area and out the back is another bar, a pizza kitchen and lots of seating. Premium keg was available and I counted seven hand pumps that were drawing TT Landlord, Abbeydale’s Deception, Mobberley’s Bunji, Siren’s Lumina Session IPA and a Lilley’s cider. My only complaint about this place is that the service was painfully slow and clueless. It took an age to get served and there were only four of us waiting with two bar staff on duty.

Another monster didsbury pub, with huge interior and plenty of space outside. TT Landlord in fine condition. Short walk to the tram stop.

This is a huge pub. Multi-roomed with the entrance room being split into two. To the rear is a large high ceilinged hall-like room and to the left of this is a large, bright, airy dining room. A total of 8 handpumps are on the bar with 4 clipped for Timothy Taylor Landlord, 2 for Deuchars and the rest for guest ales and ciders. Its a very grand place and I liked it.
