Not really on form when we called in last Thursday. 3 handpumps on the bar but only two beers on. One of these Acorn Barnsley Bitter promptly went so we were down to just one Phoenix beer which was pretty average. Don't worry said the barman, we'll be putting another one on soon. His idea of soon and mine are two completely different things as 40 minutes later he still hadn't even started pulling water through to clear the line. Not good on this occasion, but it's still a busy, buzzy bar, so we'll probably call in again.

Really unusual place that looks like a wine bar but with 3 handpumps. Flowers IPA, Copper Dragon Golden Pippin and Wem Golden Honey. Pretty pricey though at £3 a pint. Downstairs has some comfortable sofas and a lot of dining tables. Has 4 Bison heads on the wall over the entrance (I hope they're not real, as we had a number of close encounters with Bison in Canada last year and they're brilliant to see in the wild). Also has loads of interesting artwork around the walls. Upstairs is another bar that opens from 5 til late. This bar has a huge station style clock in the middle and more comfy sofas. Very friendly & helpful staff, nice atmosphere throughout early on a Saturday evening. We'll definitely call back as the other half loved it.
