This pub is everything that a local pub should be.ten hand pumps nine serving good local cask ales and one serving cider.The staff are very friendly and know how to serve cask beer.The pub has a quiz night and live music.

Agree with previous review but the extra point gained for the excellent service from all the staff! Also, the road opposite the pub is yellow line free so amble parking there as well.
Awarded CAMRA area pub of the year 2012 for both ales and cider and currently serving a new cider from Pure North (Holmfirth) brewed specifically for this pub, called... Rising Sun Cider of course and at 7% a very enjoyable drink :)

9 out of 10 for this excellent pub. Ten real ales is no lie. Roaring fires good sports coverage quiz nights, Live music. Would give 10 out of 10 if improve car parking Website www.risingsunmossley.co.uk Best pub web site I have seen
