Sitting imperiously atop a hill, this is a pretty-looking building however the interior is a fairly modernised place over a staggered L shaped interior with a conservatory dining area. Sheepskins on the chairs and Made in Chelsea lookalike barmaids. Five pumps at the bar (though with the amount of blockers in the way it wasn’t easy to see) - Itchin Valley Pure Gold / Russian Winter (both fine), Hop Back Summer Lightning, West Berks GOB and Red Cat Prowler (very good). It isn’t really my kind of ambience here but the beer and view make it a worthwhile place to visit if you're in the area.

The Watership Down is very much a Gasro Pub,opened out inside and done out in a contemporay style comlete with a glazed brick floor.It has a "Locale" beer policy with five changing ales, on my visit these were Flack Manor Double Drop,Triple fff Moondance,Flowerpots Goodens Gold,West Berks Dr Hexters Healer and Wild Weather NW3, the latter being in OK condition,despite being very foody its alright here for a beer, and the food looked decent as well.
