A good example of how Enterprise pubs don't have to fail, this 17th Century pub on the marketplace is one of Ringwood's best. A traditional inn, it still does B&B. There is no carpark, but they do have a paved courtyard used as a beer garden. Dogs are welcomed, while children are discouraged. Two bars, the public bar at the back has a dartboard and comfy chairs, the saloon at the front better for diners. Oriental food is their speciality, and they don't allow use of mobile phones. Three ales on were Summer Lightning, Landlord and Ringwood Best, plus Black Rat cider. The ales were in excellent condition. Definitely worth a visit for a its beer quality.
