An attractive looking old pub on a cobbled walkway down to the quay. Such is its location, the multi roomed interior gets busy with a mix of locals, shoppers and tourists. There were beers, all mainstream from Fullers , Otter and Ringwood as well as my choice of Timothy Taylors Landlord which was in fair condition.A nice enough pub aside from the predictable beer choice.

During a recent Tuesday evening visit the Kings Head was very busy with diners. The exposed aged wooden columns and tightly packed furniture made it very cosy indeed. The raised bar along the right hand wall was very busy, but I was served promptly. There was some background music playing at a very low volume and I didn’t note the presence of a television. A standard and premium keg range was available from the aforementioned bar and I counted five hand pumps that were drawing Otter Bitter, Ringwood’s Best and Timothy Taylor’s Landlord alongside HSB and London Pride from Fullers Brewery. Food is available during the week from midday until 15:00 and 18:00 until 22:00. At the weekend food is available from midday until 22:00. The pub opens daily at 11:00 (midday Sundays) and closes at midnight Monday to Thursday, 1am Friday and Saturday and 23:00 on Sundays. Children are welcome and have their own menu. Dogs are also welcome, but do not have their own menu. Out the back is an enclosed seating area with tattered wooden furniture.
I found the service to be polite and I would return, but at a quieter time because it was far too warm for my liking.

Very nice traditional pub situated in the old cobbled section of Lymington by the harbour. The rambling interior has plenty of exposed brick and wood and period photos and some very impressive stone fireplaces add to the pubs charms.
Not many in when I visited on a cold January afternoon so no problem to find a comfy spot, but I can also believe this place gets very busy in the summer months.
Four of the five Ale pumps in operation and Fullers London Pride and HSB were complemented by one from Ringwood and one from Flack Manor.
Probably the most enjoyable pub stop during our visit to Lymington.
