The Poacher is now firmly a food-led pub situated on the B road between Hook and Alton.
They do seem to love their Cornish beers in these parts. Doom Bar & Tribute were the options for real ale drinkers.
Most people in seemed intent on dining and they were primarily in large groups, some with their canine companions.
Another disappointment on my tour of Hampshire.

An opened out pub of four semi partitioned off areas with a mix of normal tables and chairs equalled in number by high seating. A TV screen for sport is on one wall. Just a choice of two cask beers from three pumps, Doom Dar and Tribute, the keg fonts offered a very standard selection. Nothing of great interest here.
