An estate pub that serves a function for the inhabitants of the Hawley Lane Estate. I've made a couple of attempts at visiting before but have been stymied by either closure (not open) or non-trading (closed for business). It appears to have been resurrected and had some money thrown at it if the nrw signage, clean external appearance and similarly clean internal appearance are anything to go by. A classic L-shaped room with bar facing upon entrance, a semi-hidden pool room to the right and seating to the left. A glacial wait to be served whilst a duo of locals were served their obligatory pints of Fosters, I opted for a keg Sharp's Doom Bar due to the complete absence of any handpumps (and £4.95 for the privilege). As this was an early Saturday evening visit, and the customer volume appeared to be getting louder during my stay, I gave the pint a good home rather swiftly and departed to leave them all to it.

Proper locals pub. No ale on offer just lager. Pool table and TVs showing sports on. Smart decor inside. Not much to recommend other than a quick stop when going to the nearby football ground.
