An understated town centre pub built in the 1960s consisting of a one storey building housing a single large bar. The architecture isn't bad for the period, and the setting has the potential to be quite imposing, if only the local council could tidy up the precinct a bit. There is a full size pool table which looks dwarfed in its setting – a large bar with high ceilings. Two taps on the bar, but only GK IPA was on offer, though this was in reasonable condition. OK for what it is but not sure it's worth the trek to find at present.

Ex JDW and still has the signs with a large kitchen, cheap Sunday roasts, numbered tables and Jagerbomb specials. Free House but only GK beers available but the only person I saw drinking real ale was about halfway down his pint and it was still cloudy. Three large plasma screens and a real fire.
