Do not be fooled by the name as there was no Cask Ale on tap only Keg beers when I went in here. Which is a real pity in my opinion because this part of Potter's Bar really needs a good Real Ale Pub as there is no other good real ale bars or Pubs around this part. Pub its self is good and service good but very quiet for a Friday evening when I went in. I would pop in again if passing but lets hope they start to see that Real Ales and Craft Ale sales are taking off and start to catch up before its too late.

I wasn't that impressed as I walked in as the first thing that I noticed were the four unused hand pumps alongside Youngs Special that was off. There were no premium lagers, but I did get served a decent pint of Guinness from the friendly barmaid. There are plasma screens for showing Sky Sports and there is also a dartboard and a pool table that was being used by some of the locals, who seemed friendly enough.

There is a large beer garden out the back which has a climbing frame and swings for the kids.

This place grew on me the longer I stayed and I would go back again if passing.
