The only pub in the quiet village of Porchfield. The first thing I noticed was the brightly coloured bench tables in the garden.
We sat indoors, at what was clearly a quiet time (late afternoon). But service at the bar was friendly. There are a couple of rooms, both seemingly used for drinkers and diners alike.
3 ales were on, with no hint of a Marston's connection - Goddard's Fuddle-Dee-Dum, Island Wight Gold & Morland Old Speckled Hen.

A good traditional out-of-the-way pub, with one cosy L-shaped room round the bar and a small plainer extension to the side. Outside, there are tables to the front and a garden behind. The changing beers seem to be mainly from the Marston's range, with a few locals thrown in, but are well-kept.
