An impressive building from the outside and the interior is also quite ornate. The punters rather less so and the beer selection positively pedestrian. I had a half of Lancaster Blonde which was in surprisingly good nick. I doubt if I'll ever call in again, but I didn't find it as bad as BF below.

A massive sports bar with a very high ceiling,large flatscreens everywhere and enough room for a substantial mezzanine level where there is still no escape from the screens.Fruit machines and mindless R&B dirge complete the scene .All punters seemed to have totoos,even the old boys and some punters near the bar were blocking and rocking a little.The pumping muzak must dull the brain,the barstaff were clueless and slow serving with regulars first.There are large banquettes below a wall with three flatscreens ,each screen seemed to be transmitting something different.
At the bar just Wainwright Bitter,Lancaster Blonde and Theakstons Old Peculier ,just a half as I wanted to escape NBSS Acceptable.Pricing quite cheap but not as low as nearby 'spoons.
I will never darken it's door again and just keep on walking next time.

Quite like this one and certainly the beer is cheap enough, but liked it better when the large Hogarth prints were on the walls which have now been taken over with large TV screens.
