The Oxford is a small pub with seating to the right and up the left around a central column circled by a beer shelf and stools. The serving counter across the rear supports Standard keg and San Miguel. The televisions through were muted because of some Monday night Karaoke action which was taking place in the right front by the pool table that was out of action. A local boozer for local people.

Hidden down a back street not far from Burnley FC this is a typical Lancashire pub in looks - solid looking and all a bit cotton mill outhousey. The inside is fairly decent with the bar having a single unused handpull amongst the generic fizz taps. A rather jolly set of pensioners were in on my visit and it was all stereotypical flat caps and braces. I quite enjoyed my brief stay here, though it was a midweek afternoon so it could be different at weekends.
