Visited again in March this year on a Monday afternoon. Opening hours at the time listed as 3pm but I walked past on the off chance and was pleased to discover it actually opened at midday.

Six hand pulls for cask, mainly ales from their own from Pool Brewing, with five of the six on from what I could see at the time. Loads of keg too, some permanent and some guest. There is a chalk board menu above the bar, which may help as the back taps can be hard to make out. The venue is also Untappd Verified so up to date beer menus available there too. One slight quirk is that when I went for one of the keg options, I was told it could only be sold by the 2/3 pint as that is how the till is programmed. Ideally I would have preferred a smaller measure, as it was a bit of an oddball beer, but thankfully it turned out to be really nice.

There is no sign of food being offered anymore. Free Wi-Fi is advertised. Toilets were nicer than on my previous visit. There is a real fire / wood burner, not in use at the time of my visit, but plenty of signage warning of dire consequences for customers who mess with the fires!

At the time of my visit, it was fairly quiet with just another two or three customers in, but there was a nice vibe with quiet background music playing.

This has become a favourite for me, so I am upping my rating accordingly.

Now known as the Rhythm & Brew Room but pretty much unchanged since its days as 1887 The Brew Room. Six of eight hand pulls on with two or three by their own West Coast Brewery. Three guests including Anarchy, Tiny Rebel and Bristol. My half of Blackpool Blonde was pleasant and set me back a reasonable £2.10.

The pub was quiet at the time of my visit, service was friendly, my only complaint would be the bogs were a bit smelly and had flies buzzing around.

A revisit as I was showing my sister and her bf the highlights of Blackpool. Discovered a stash of boardgames so we decided to session it in here. GBG-worthy pints of their Tangerine, Stout and Blonde, though the Wonky Donkey was well under-par. I like it here, the service is always good, as is the atmosphere.

Smallish bar at the base of the Stanley Hotel. A live music venue with a CAMRA slant – check-out the framed aged What's Brewing covers! Decor pleasingly alehouse in style - tatty dark varnish wood, brick, sodium style lighting. A good soundtrack was being played at a sensible volume. Ten pumps with nine cask on, five from their pet brewery (West Coast Rock) plus four others. My Tangerine Dream was pretty tidy (NBSS 3.5). Also some keg stuff on the back wall. A nice bustling atmosphere and I enjoyed my 30 minutes in here. Rated 8
