Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Edinburgh Castle
Old-fashioned pub with a compact 'U'-shaped bar and basic furniture and decor. Pool table and dartboard. Two handpumps with reversed Doom Bar and Old Golden Hen clips, and enquiries revealed that real ales are only on intermittently. Didn't fancy the John Smith's or Ruddles Smooth, but on the plus side, there are a reasonable selection of bottled beers in the fridge e.g. Spitfire at £3.00. Good-natured banter between the locals, and a welcome from behind the bar to a casual visitor (of which they probably get very few).
