Well kept Everards beers with two guests,I must admit to some surprise when one of the guests was the ubiquitous Bombardier but that didnt impact on my enjoyment of the other ales.Extremely good value senior citizens lunch deals meant the restaurant was busy but in a seperate part of the building ,so you can sup in the main bar free from the clatter of false teeth.The best pub in the village near the river,I particularly like the Everards picture of "The only dray in the village".

A tidy, traditional and friendly Everards house close to the canal. The front has both carpeted and wooden floor areas as well as real fires with a, busy when we there, restaurant area at the back. Food looked good quality and value although we didn't try it. Two guest ales on in addition to the three from Everards. Both Tiger and Golden Hare from Bath Ales were good. A very good spot for a beer and lunch should you wish.
