Sizzling branded pub/eatery. Done-up recently to a decent standard in corporate colours. Oddly languid playlist. A pair of ales clipped, I was initially mildly excited to see Abbeydale on, the barmaid then dashed it by saying it was off (er, turn the clip round?) which left a fairly unappealing Doom Bar. This was surprisingly good (NBSS 3.5) despite the girl pouring it like an arthritic 90 year old. Much like the Ring, it’s a surprisingly ‘not as bad as you might expect’ chain pub in Loughborough’s suburbs.

Maxwells is an estate pub that is situated on the Northern edge of Loughborough.
Once inside there is a large L shaped room with the bar facing,the room is carpeted,there is a pool table and darts board to the front left,there is comfy bench seating and chairs to the front and on the left side,there are normal tables and chairs in the middle area and american diner seating on the right side.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Pedigree,which was a nice drink the other real ales were Purity UBU and Doom Bar.
Food was being served and background music playing.
I thought this was a pleasant and comfortable pub to have a drink in,it was also quite busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.
