Brainy Pool left this review about The Font

as mentioned, a typical student bar. Ear splitting loud music which makes conversation impossible though at least drowned out the bollocks being spouted by the alleged ‘Durham archery club’ next to me. Two guest ales and a cider. Big junk food menu and TVs showing football and, bizarrely, some kind of racing game with controllers provided. It could be a nightmare but after a few minutes I just found this place amusing to be honest.

Pretty dull student bar. A single long room with a mixture of high banquette seating, sofas, high and low tables and chairs. A large screen is in the left hand corner for video game dullards. 4 handpumps on the bar with 3 guest ales and a cider. If you sit by the windows you get to see Paddy's Wigwam over the road.
