A delightful old village pub, well worth the effort of seeking out. Located next to a pond on the rural edge of the village, it has a couple of benches at the front for taking in the view. The inside is well presented, with the usual subdued Sam Smiths colour scheme enhanced in this instance by quality furnishings and bric a brac. Only the one hand pump, but the beer was top quality, though a little cold as usual.
I complimented the landlady on the condition of the beer, and for having such a lovely pub, to which one of the regulars added, "...and lovely clientele, too". I wasn't going to argue with him, but it has to be said that this is one of the nicest pubs I've been into this year.
